Once Upon A Time...
To say the least, Tara is a woman of unusual circumstances...
Born in a car in Kuwait, Tara is a byproduct of her diva Filipina mother and her Irish father. The Macken clan resided in the Middle East until the eruption of the Gulf War, where they then moved to Brunei in Borneo. It was in Borneo where Tara became an outdoor junkie, hashing, flipping and climbing through the jungles of Brunei and Sarawak following toilet paper trails in hopes of a clean car ride home.

Having finished elementary school, Tara moved to Manila Philippines where she harnessed her natural outdoor skills into gymnastics, rock climbing and dance. Excelling in these sports, Tara competed and performed internationally in Hong Kong, Jakarta, Singapore, Taiwan and Manila with the ISM Dance Company, and the ISM gymnastics team. In highschool Tara started modeling for print, commercials and runway shows under Calcarries modeling agency.
After highschool Ms. Macken migrated to California to attend Santa Clara University. At SCU, Tara received a double degree, a B.S in Political Science and a B.A in Theatre Arts. In addition to this, Tara attending the prestIgious Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre summer professional program where she polished her modern and ballet dance training (NY).

Since graduating university Tara was a principle dancer for the Nguyen Dance Co. in Oakland, toured Chile South America performing in the musical “Poeta Pan”, and has continuously back packed around the world satisfying her need to always move.
Currently Tara works and resides in Los Angeles, California. Due to her education and physical history, Tara “fell” into stunt work, a natural progression for a woman of unusual circumstances.

She is a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, and can be seen in films, T.V shows, print jobs and live shows.
